These Terms apply only to business and professional users. MenuLab is not offered for personal, household, or consumer use.
By creating an account, uploading a menu, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using MenuLab, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Service.

2. What MenuLab does
MenuLab is an AI-powered menu analysis platform for restaurants, cafés, bars, bakeries, hotels, food trucks, takeaway businesses, and other hospitality operators.
The Service allows business and professional users to upload menu files, such as PDFs or images, and receive analysis, insights, and suggestions related to menu pricing, structure, readability, item visibility, customer decision-making, and other menu-related factors.
MenuLab may also include tools for menu item review, ingredient estimation, pricing analysis, cost inputs, margin analysis, profitability reports, and related business insights.
MenuLab provides decision-support information. It does not replace professional business, financial, legal, accounting, tax, nutrition, food safety, or operational advice.
3. Business use only
MenuLab is intended strictly for business and professional use.
The Service is designed for restaurants, cafés, bars, bakeries, hotels, food trucks, takeaway businesses, hospitality operators, food service businesses, consultants, agencies, and other professional users who manage, analyze, advise on, or operate a business with a menu.
MenuLab is not intended for personal, household, or consumer use. By creating an account, uploading a menu, purchasing a plan, or using the Service, you confirm that:
- you are using the Service for business or professional purposes;
- you are not using the Service as a consumer;
- you have authority to use the Service on behalf of the business, company, organization, or professional activity you represent;
- any information you provide about your business is accurate and complete.
If you do not operate, represent, advise, or work with a business or professional activity that has a menu or menu-related use case, you should not use MenuLab.
If you use MenuLab on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that company or organization. In that case, “you” refers both to you personally and to the company or organization you represent.
4. Account registration
To use certain features of MenuLab, you may need to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, created risk for MenuLab or other users, or used the Service unlawfully.
5. Uploads and user content
MenuLab allows you to upload menus, images, PDFs, text, pricing data, ingredient information, business details, and other content.
You retain ownership of the content you upload.
By uploading content to MenuLab, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, display, and use that content only as necessary to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights to upload and use the content you provide. You must not upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains unlawful material, includes confidential information you are not authorized to share, or violates the rights of any third party.
You are responsible for reviewing any extracted menu items, prices, ingredients, costs, or other information generated from your uploads. OCR and AI analysis may contain errors.
6. AI-generated analysis and reports
MenuLab uses artificial intelligence and automated processing to generate menu analysis, recommendations, summaries, scores, and reports.
AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific business. You should review all outputs carefully before relying on them.
MenuLab does not guarantee that any recommendation will increase revenue, improve profitability, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, or produce any specific business result.
You are solely responsible for decisions made based on MenuLab outputs, including pricing changes, menu redesigns, cost assumptions, supplier decisions, staffing decisions, marketing actions, and operational changes.
7. Data confidence and estimated information
Some MenuLab features may use estimated ingredients, estimated costs, estimated portions, or inferred business information based on uploaded menus and available context.
Any such information is provided as a starting point for review and should not be treated as verified unless you have confirmed it.
Features such as data confidence, menu scores, profitability indicators, pricing warnings, or item classifications are intended to help prioritize review. They are not guarantees of accuracy, performance, or business outcome.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse MenuLab.
You must not:
- use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or deceptive purposes;
- upload malware, malicious files, or harmful code;
- attempt to access accounts, systems, data, or areas of the Service without authorization;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or extract the Service except where expressly allowed by law;
- use automated systems to overload, abuse, or bypass the Service;
- upload content that infringes third-party rights;
- use MenuLab outputs to mislead customers, regulators, investors, business partners, or other third parties;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
- use the Service to develop a competing product or service.
We may investigate suspected misuse and may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
9. Subscriptions, plans, and payments
MenuLab may offer free plans, paid subscriptions, usage-based features, credits, trials, or one-time purchases.
Prices, plan limits, features, billing cycles, and usage allowances will be shown before purchase or inside your account.
By purchasing a paid plan, you confirm that the purchase is made for business or professional purposes and not as a consumer.
By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize us or our payment provider to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and recurring subscription amounts using your selected payment method.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
You are responsible for keeping your billing information accurate and up to date.
We may change prices or plan features from time to time. If a change affects an active paid subscription, we will provide notice where required by law or by the terms of the relevant payment provider.
10. Trials and free access
We may offer free trials, free accounts, beta access, promotional credits, or limited free features.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue free access at any time.
If a trial converts into a paid subscription, the applicable terms will be shown before payment is collected, unless otherwise clearly stated.
11. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription through your account settings or by following the cancellation process provided by the payment provider.
Cancellation will usually take effect at the end of the current billing period, unless otherwise stated. You may continue to access paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Deleting your account may not automatically cancel a subscription handled by a third-party payment provider. You are responsible for ensuring that your subscription is cancelled through the correct process.
12. Refunds
Unless expressly stated at the time of purchase or required by applicable law, all payments are non-refundable.
MenuLab is a business-to-business service. Consumer withdrawal rights, consumer cooling-off periods, and consumer cancellation rights do not apply to your purchase or use of the Service.
We may consider refund requests at our sole discretion, including in cases of duplicate payments, technical errors, or accidental billing. Granting a refund in one case does not create any right to future refunds.
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, you should contact us promptly at [Insert contact email].
13. Taxes
Prices may be shown excluding or including taxes depending on your location, customer type, and applicable law.
You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or charges applicable to your use or purchase of the Service, except for taxes based on our income.
Where required, we or our payment provider may collect VAT, sales tax, or similar taxes.
14. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep MenuLab available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party service failures, security incidents, or events outside our control.
We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where changes materially affect paid users, we will try to provide reasonable notice when practical.
15. Third-party services
MenuLab may rely on third-party providers for hosting, payments, analytics, AI processing, file storage, email delivery, and other infrastructure.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, interruptions, errors, or actions outside our reasonable control.
16. Privacy and data protection
Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you may have.
The Privacy Policy is separate from these Terms.
By using MenuLab, you acknowledge that your uploaded content, account information, and usage data may be processed as necessary to provide the Service.
You should not upload personal data, confidential information, or sensitive information unless it is necessary for your use of the Service and you are authorized to do so.
17. Confidentiality
You may upload menus, prices, costs, supplier information, recipes, business data, and other information that may be commercially sensitive.
We will use reasonable measures to protect your content and will not intentionally disclose your private uploaded content except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, enforce these Terms, protect our rights, or as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for deciding what information you upload to MenuLab.
18. Intellectual property
MenuLab, including its software, design, interface, workflows, reports, branding, logos, content, and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of MenuLab or its intellectual property to you.
You may use MenuLab only as allowed by these Terms.
You may use reports and outputs generated for your account for your own internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative products based on MenuLab without our written permission.
19. Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, feature requests, or comments about MenuLab, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
We may use feedback to improve, modify, or develop our products and services.
20. No professional advice
MenuLab provides informational and analytical tools.
The Service does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, food safety, nutrition, employment, regulatory, or professional consulting advice.
You should consult qualified professionals before making decisions that require professional advice.
21. Disclaimers
MenuLab is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
We do not guarantee that:
- the Service will always be available;
- uploads will always process correctly;
- OCR extraction will be accurate;
- AI-generated outputs will be complete or error-free;
- reports will reflect your actual costs, margins, customers, suppliers, market conditions, or business performance;
- the Service will produce any particular business result.
22. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MenuLab and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of data, or business interruption.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will be limited to the amount you paid to MenuLab for the Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or €100 if you have not paid for the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
23. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold MenuLab harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- your use of the Service;
- your uploaded content;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of applicable law;

24. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to MenuLab if:
- you breach these Terms;
- payment fails;
- your use creates risk for the Service, other users, or third parties;
- we are required to do so by law;
- we discontinue the Service or a material part of it.
You may stop using MenuLab at any time. You may request account deletion according to the process described in the Privacy Policy or inside your account settings.
After termination, certain sections of these Terms will continue to apply, including intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law, jurisdiction, and any payment obligations already incurred.
25. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by posting a notice on the website, sending an email, or showing an in-app notification.
The updated Terms will apply from the effective date shown above or from the date communicated to you.
If you continue using MenuLab after the updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
26. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, MenuLab, your account, your subscription, your uploaded content, or your use of the Service, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia.
You agree that the courts of the Republic of Estonia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of MenuLab.
You waive any objection to the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts, including objections based on inconvenience, location, or the fact that MenuLab is available internationally.
MenuLab is operated by an Estonian legal entity. Although the Service may be accessed from many countries, its availability in a country does not mean that we submit to the laws or courts of that country, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
If any mandatory law applies despite this clause, the remaining parts of this Governing Law and Jurisdiction section will continue to apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
